These Khoom Fay Sky Lanterns are made in Thailand where Sky Lanterns originated from. They are made from Bamboo, Rice Paper & Rolled Wax Paper.
They are also Bio-Degradeable and when the Wax Paper is lit the air inside the sky lantern will heat and the lantern will rise up into the sky where it can lift to a height of between 500-1000 metres before extinguishing and floating gently back down to earth like a parachute. When in the sky these Sky lanterns can be seen for miles around and are often mistake as UFOs because of the gentle light they give off as they float through the air.
